Plenty Plants Nursery
Sustainably Growing For Forestry and Native Restoration
Located on our Rotorua Lakes District farm in the heart of the Bay of Plenty
Our Nursery
Plenty Plants emerged from a vision to convert our farm into a low-nitrogen producing property, aiming to safeguard and enhance the local streams, wetlands, and lakes surrounding the Lake Rotorua and Lake Rotoiti catchment areas. We see this as a generational vision for this land and our whānau.
Incorporating Ellepot technology into our mission allowed us to grow trees sustainably and cost-effectively, surpassing current industry standards. Naturally, this led us to grow our production to supply others, marking the beginning of our journey into the industry.
Our Team
Our team is dedicated to cultivating robust plants that will thrive as quality trees, whether for native regeneration or forestry endeavours. We use technologies like Ellepot’s paper plug system not just for its ingenuity—though it is clever—but because it yields stronger, healthier root systems in a more efficient and sustainable manner.
This approach translates to lower transport emissions and costs, reduced planting expenses compared to other methods, and notably less waste with the elimination of plastic bags and disposable containers.
